LTC is fine. I just need a job to get started...
EDIT: I have passed my exams, waiting for temp OR license to be issued and I have VisaScreen waiting for my NCLEX results (which will be sent once I get the license #). I currently live in WA state on a student visa.
Thanks

Hi there!
Before you look for a job in the USA, you need to go through the Board of Nursing process and get your education recognized in the USA...and then, take the Nclex to get your license as a Registered Nurse. Without this license you cannot work as a nurse in the USA, even if you are graduated in another country.
Contac Oregon Board of Nursing and they will guide you thorugh the process, ok?

Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mention that I have already passed the exams and am waiting for a temp Oregon license to be issued, and I also have VisaScreen almost done (they only need to have my NCLEX results). I'm here in the U.S. right now. All I need right now is a hospital that will petition me.
I will fix my first post now to avoid confusion.

Hi,
I am an international nurse as well, from Germany. What evaluation service did you use to get your credentials evaluated?
I am in a program, here in Oregon, called: workforce improvement with immigrant nurses (WIN), have you heard about it? There is a also a girl from the Ukraine in my class. We are about to graduate on the 3rd of November.
Did you take any classes or did you just study on your own and took the NCLEX?
