I am interviewing for a MIMCU position tomorrow and I was told to bring certifications. I can not find my BLS card . Do you think that it is important that I have that with me. Thanks in advance!

Yes, they need proof that you have the certifications necessary to fulfill the job. I took mine to my interviews and they made copies of them.

Good luck finding it!

If they hire you on the spot they will need a copy of it. If you can't provide it on that day, get it to them as soon as possible. You should get a new one sent to you now.

IMO, always bring your certifications and license to any interview. They may not always ask for it...but when they do, you'll be glad you have it :)

If you're worried about misplacing them, make photocopies and take them on the interview--that way, you can at least hand them the photocopy, they know you have the certification(s), then you can bring the original when it's time to do any paperwork.

I agree, bring the card to the interview. If you still can't find the card by the time you interview and/or are hired, the hospital usually offers a BLS course. You could always take one of their classes before you actually start working on the unit.

Did you find your BLS card?! How did the interview go?
