If you have very limited access and many many meds to give? And it's an unstable baby?

Yes.
Never pressors.
I've given ABX, blood products, NaHCO3, lasix, etc via UAC... makes me a bit nervous, but I've done it wherever it's been policy, and the order says so...

I've heard that we do it but never seen it done personally. Usually a uvc or Picc line or broviac is put in before it comes down to that.

In the "old" days, we used to run everything but pressors in the uac's, nowdays a nono unless there is no other access.

What Pooh said. In the "bad ole' days", the UAC was often the ONLY line. Thankfully, no longer.
Watch the baby's back, sometimes vascular compromise can show up there instead of the toes.

We also only use it when we have no other access available (never pressors though). And we have to have the fluids specifically ordered to run through the UAC by the docs.

Never pressors, but we will use it if we have limited access for meds, blood, etc. And always with a specific order. In a huge pinch, we have put our HAL thru it.

no pressors, meds and blood products with an order to do so.
