Do Females perform better on the NCLEX?

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me with a paper I'm writing on NCLEX performance and gender. Is there any research out there on gender disparity in NCLEX performance. Do females tend to do better than males on the NCLEX? Any information or links to data or research would help me soooo much! Thanks!!

The short answer to your question is "no" and in the end your paper wouldn't support your idea.

As for providing links, data, research.....if you type your key words into Google, you will pull up everything you want. Did you do this already? I did it and instantly found PubMed abstracts.

Thanks! I tried searching Google and PubMed and can't find anything on gender performance on the NCLEX. At my nursing school males are performing worse than females on the NCLEX so that's why I'm trying to find some research that talks about it. What PubMed abstracts did you find?

Typed "NCLEX RN performance by gender" into Google, second link was this: The relationship of critical thinking to performance on the NCLEX-RN. - PubMed - NCBI

If that came up as #2 on the Google list, I've no doubt there are plenty more out there. Maybe you were too specific in your search, I don't know, but these were pretty easy to find.
