Do dependents get BAH during OBLC?

I am going to the October 14th OBLC and plan on getting married before I go. Will I get paid a basic allowance for housing for my husband while I'm at training? Any details and information regarding this would be helpful! Thanks :)

Good question, I need the answer to that as well. I believe they do though.

The other question I have is when would receive the BAH and 1st pay?

Kate- did you find housing in North Carolina yet?

I agree, I hope it's paid with our first paycheck, whenever that may be, as opposed to after the fact like our uniform allowance. I'm going down Thursday for a few days to look at houses to rent and at least get a feel for the area; I figure that even if we have to move into a house we've only seen online at least we can see the neighborhood for ourselves before we move there. Very exciting but nerve wracking at the same time!

You will get paid you BAH while in training if you have dependents. I do not know if it will be based on the zip code of where you will be stationed, your home of record zip code, or the basic BAH. It will be in your 1st paycheck, the questions is when will that be? Plan on not recieving a paycheck for 30 days at which time you will recieve any missed paychecks as well.

Thanks for the information

I'm assuming it's a DoD policy - we (USAF) will get BAH based on the address where our dependents live (they used to do it by HoR but not anymore) while I'm at COT. So I'm guessing it's the same for the Army. We have to take a copy of our mortgage/lease agreement to COT for where our dependents are to prove that's their address.

I wish it was HOR - my HOR is Philadelphia!
