Ok so I have left my nursing job and am looking for another..and so far nada. So I am considering doing a bit of traveling. But I looked at the health insurance ect they offered and thought Omg thats horrible. I mean for instance they pay for normal dental checkups but nothing for dental work..even cavitys??

I work in dentistry. You'd probably be surprised at the number of policies that pay for preventative dental care only. The theory is if you use the policy and take care of PREVENTATIVE things, you won't NEED any more dental work than that. Kind of crazy, but everyone is looking to cut $$ wherever they can

All the agencies have had bad insurance I've worked with. I was in hospital and had to pay $7,000 out of pocket. I had dental work done recently and the cost was $1030, insurance only paid $230!
God forbid anyone ever gets really sick while traveling, or you are pretty screwed.

I spoe with a recruiter not to long ago from a different agency and she told me flat out that their insurance was overpriced and preety crappy anyway. She gave me the contact info for the lady she sends her travelers to to get their own policies. It's Naya Gordon from getinsured.com. She is used to working with travelers.
well thanks. Yes I spoke with another recruitor today who told me if I added my husband it would be Very pricey. I dont know what to do. I need insurance for my husband. He has some health issues. I really dont want to travel...unless its close enough to come home on my days off...so would want block scheduling. I didnt get married to live apart. Life is too short =(

Yes, life is too short, and we all know and see that...thumbs up on prioritizing your marriage over your assignment!
