If you get a DNP with a concentration in Public health leader, would this allow for working as an NP, including prescribe medications? I thought all DNP's could prescribe meds and work clinically as an NP. I was hoping someone with this educational background (or someone who knows) could let me know. I have tried to Google but I haven't had luck finding an answer

DNP is a degree- not necessarily an advanced practice role. I have a DNP in Nursing Education Leadership. I have seen DNP in Policy, and Leadership as well.
You have to find a Nurse Practitioner program and graduate and pass the licensing exam to prescribe. A concentration as a Public Health Leader is not going to do it.
