Dix scholar accelerated nursing to Simmons Summer 2018

Has anyone applied to that program? I am just waiting to hear from them.

All supporting materials had to be submitted by January 5th.They were closed because of the snow storm Thursday and Friday, which probably pushed their processing back until this week. I assume they will begin going through applications this week.

Did any of you interview ?

My file also now says "File Under Review For Completion".

I did end up scheduling an interview prior to completing my application. It is basically an opportunity for you to ask questions about the program, rather than a full fledged interview.

I think they will send us an email when our application is completed.

In some previous years it looks like we may hear by early February regarding a decision via a phone call. Not sure if this has changed/ how we will be notified this year.

Are you guys considering any other schools? I really don't like how everywhere has different deadlines to send in a deposit. It makes it so stressful that I may need to put down a deposit before knowing all of my options!

I have applications out to MGH, MCPHS, Quinnipiac and maybe UConn as well. This timing thing is really killing me too.

I currently have applications for MGH and Umass Boston. Curry College will be my back up if I do not make it in to any of these 3 programs.

Which is your top school?

I don't exactly have a top choice, I've heard good things about all the programs. If I had to choose, it'd be MGH only because their program begins in May and I'd like to start sooner rather than later.

Price/location wise I would like to get into Curry. I would have a short commute however, it's a bummer that they only offer a January start.

I also applied to Salem , they are starting in May.

Spoke to an admission counselor for this program and she said we will hear back mid-February (frustrating - but at least it's an honest answer!)
