Dix scholar accelerated nursing to Simmons Summer 2018

It seems like January 1st is the deadline, maybe after that they will start reviewing our application.

I am finishing up my application however I had a question ( Just sent one to admissions)

Does anyone know if you only apply to the Summer 2018 program if you plan on taking pre-reqs at Simmons over the summer? Or does the summer semester include Nursing classes as well?

I would love to start in the Summer but, I am taking Chemistry and Statistics online so not sure if I should apply for Summer or Fall start date.

When I attended the online info session they mentioned that if you plan on taking pre-reqs at Simmons College then you should apply for the Summer start.

I could be wrong so just wanted to double check.

The schedule for the Dix Scholar 16 month sequence starts in the Fall according to their website.

Just an update, I received this email this afternoon. I will be taking my remaining pre-req ( Chemistry ) through Portage Learning so will be applying for Fall 2018.

Yes, that's correct-- you should apply for summer admission only if you want to take nursing prerequisites at Simmons. The introductory nursing classes run in the fall only, so if you plan to take all of your prereqs elsewhere you would apply for fall admission.
