Direct-Entry online programs?

Published

I'm wondering if there are any reputable direct entry online programs out there? There seem to be a good number of direct-entry programs (no RN requirement) and a good number of online programs (must have an RN to apply), but I'm curious about decent online direct entry programs.

Thanks in advance!

I definitely agree that clinicals, lab, and simulations are critical portions of coursework and should be structured and in-person. As for the didactic portions, I feel that a well proctored program can be as effective (if not more) when available in a non-traditional format.

Not sure where you live, but WGU has such a program in IN, FL, CA, TX, and UT. I'd be happy to provide more info if this would interest you.

Since the start of this thread, I have actually come to learn that a local program that is desirable to me only ends up being 1 day per week in the classroom and 12 hours per week of clinicals, with the remaining coursework being completed "online" (for lack of a better term).

This will likely where I hope to end up..

Fire medic mike that sounds like a good plan for you. Good luck!
