Hello Everyone, The applications for June 2020 at Columbia University has now opened. I haven't seen any new threads for this year so I wanted to start one. I am in the process of applying and half way done! References already sent their recommendations!! and an upside to this year is that Columbia University is no longer requiring the GRE. SO I am pretty happy about that!!
Good Luck!
I'm seriously considering living off campus, so I will definitely be on the hunt for roommates. Looking in Washington Heights (of course), West Harlem, and maybe Upper West Side. I'm hoping visiting day weekend is a good time to meet everyone, and maybe we can get a facebook group going too.
Yeah, I think roommates are the better option! I'm coming from Long Island so I wouldn't be given priority housing in CU compared to those from other states (for good reason). I think that renting a 3 bedroom apartment with other nursing majors from Columbia and splitting on utilities would be feasible compared to renting a studio. I haven't really checked out the dorms or housing provided by the school cause I don't want to go back to sleeping on a twin XL bed lol
As promised, here's the link to the facebook group

Anyway, I'll start one up over the weekend and I'll let everyone know. Hopefully this will help us get to know one another and maybe coordinate travel plans as well? Hi! I've been accepted to Columbia's MSN/DNP for FNP. I will be attending Visiting Day and look forward to meeting you all ?
I'm coming from California so I will most likely be applying for dorm but would be opened to getting a place with other nursing students!
