Hi! What is the proper diet for acute renal failure and chronic renal failure?

And is acute renal failure have hypertension?

Exactly. What are the functions of the kidneys? What would happen if they fail? Big hint--what doesn't get eliminated from the body if the kidneys fail? So what do you think should be included or excluded from the diet of a patient in renal failure?

Urine will not be excreted,so low potassium diet, low sodium diet, i am not sure about protein.

Yes kidneys excrete waste products. In ARF waste products would start to build up so in addition to low potassium, low sodium diet, you want the pt to limit protein intake. Can you find out why?
