I just graduated nursing school and applied to the Oklahoma Board of nursing for my LPN. I did not disclose an arrest I had for a worthless check I had written as a Juvenile (it was for under $5) the case is also sealed. The court told me I did not need to disclose this, they were wrong. I submitted all the court documents. Now, my application is now being examined by a investigator at the board. Does anyone know what I can expect from here? Do I need a lawyer? What should I do now?

ANYTIME you have to deal with a BON, it's best to have a lawyer in your corner because the BON is not the nurse's friend. They look out for the public first and foremost--your interests are considered second if at all. Yes, it does cost money...but it's cheaper than not getting your license.
All you can do right now is wait to hear back from the BON and see where they want to go next.
Best of luck.

Yes, you should hire a lawyer.
Even though it was sealed, I had to report an arrest from when I was 16. My case is more serious than yours, but I graduated in the beginning of May and didn't hear anything from the Board until the end of October. I have to undergo a psych evaluation, and it takes one month for the evaluator to send the report in to the BON after the evaluation. So I am still looking at several months before I will find out if I will be licensed.
I hope that your process is faster than mine, but it possibly won't be since they are going to perform an investigation because to them you falsified your application.
