Did you use a tutor or pay for a review for the NCLEX?

Published

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone took a review course or hired a tutor before they took their first NCLEX exam? If you did take a review course, which one, did you like/dislike it, how much did it cost?

Thanks!

Where do I go to find out the hurst review?

You can find it at hurstreview.com. They have an online review and a live review - both are GREAT! And well worth the money!

I did Suzanne's (one of the moderator's here) program and that's all it took for me to pass on my first try!!!

I didn't study for the NCLEX-PN other than doing some (well, lots of) practice questions and passed with the minimum amount of questions required in under an hour. I kept putting off formal studying for it from a book or whatever and just did questions on my laptop whenever I was bored or while I was chatting with friends. No, I'm NOT recommending anyone do the same, and I'll probably study some more before I do the NCLEX-RN. I'm not convinced expensive preparatory courses are necessary, though they clearly do sound helpful for those who are either not good at testing or need some review.
