Very unlikely. No, I'm not married to a doctor & I wouldn't want to be. My husband is in the oil field.

Hey it happened with my neighbors, she was his nurse. And they got married ;)

I know it happens but it's not likely. You also should keep your professional & personal lives separate.

"His nurse". There's the first problem.

I also hope you didn't become a nurse to marry a doctor. :|

I'm married to a doctor...of English lit. She happens to be a professor at the college I went to, but we met two days before she started working there, and I never took advantage of her position, except for double-checking my spelling on important documents.

That's not the kind of doctor my mom envisioned for me, though. :)

Specializes in Gerontology.

Hmmm. The unit I work on had several docs. Only 2 are male.

1 is married and probably close to 64 years old,

The other bats fir the other team.

So, NO. Nsg does not lead to husband.

I wouldnt put myself through 3 years of schooling in hopes that I might marry a doctor haha. I was only joking ;)

You might have wanted to make that more clear in your OP. Because looking for love at work is a no no & isn't very funny.

Specializes in Postpartum, Med Surg, Home Health.

It comes natural that we make friends at work. Yes, personal and work lives should be separate, but things don't often happen the way they "should". So who is to say you won't meet and fall in love with a doctor, nurse, RT, X-ray tech, transporter, phlebotomist, janitor, engineering, pharmacist, security guard, or any other of many professionals/employees of your place of employment?

It happens.

OPs post sounds like she was making a light/funny comment, and was curious if it happened to anyone.

Well as she is a new grad, I hope she was taught to leave her personal life at home & her professional life at work. If not this is the place to learn it. Yes you can't control who you fall in love with but you shouldn't be looking for love at work. Don't *h*t where you eat.
