I am devastated! I just received my "so sorry" letter and can't seem to pull it together. What makes it so bad is that the form letter stated that I was below the cut-off of 75 points, and I had 75 points! I have to meet with the dean and discuss the situation. This is my second career and I am depressed. Thanks for any imput.

Hey, you will be alright. There are a lot of struggles and setbacks in nursing keep at it. Think of it as your first test toward your dedication and don't let it get you down. Good luck :)

Don't give up especially if this is something you ultimately want. I was close to giving up myself and I kept reminding myself that "good things come for those who wait."
So I waited, and waited, and waited. After 6 years of waiting I finally got into a legit Nursing School. It paid off!
Best of luck :)

Can you reatke some classes and reapply next term? Is there a different school in your area you could apply to?
Put your thinking cap on. Where there's a will there's a way

lynnecole - I was denied by the first University l I applied to. I have a 4.0 in my pre-reqs and core classes but (I believe) it was my 20+ year old cumulative gpa that did me in. I'm not going to give up, and neither should you. I am going to be applying to a second university this fall (after taking more pre-reqs) and I'll apply to a couple ASN programs too.
An obstacle in my path won't stop me from reaching my goal, and it shouldn't stop you either. Give yourself time to grieve, then work on plan B... you can do it lynnecole - good luck!
