Hello,
I interviewed for an RN position on a Med-Surg Unit at a local hospital. Interview went great, i shadowed a nurse a week later, and HR contacted me via email to submit my references. Problem is, I interviewed 4/16/15, and shadowed on 4/25/15. The nurse manager gave me a verbal offer, and explained HR would be in contact with me with pay and orientation schedule. I have tried calling them twice (both manager and HR), and haven't received a call back. I am confused as to why I feel I am being ignored?? They told me I would be on day shift orientation in June still, so if I did get this job offer, wouldn't you think they would be calling me so I can give my current job a decent 2 weeks notice?? We are currently short-staffed as it is where I currently am employed (LTC facility), so I definitely should give at least a 2 weeks notice. I am just starting to wonder if they are completely rejecting me, or if the process is just really extremely slow...Period, I wish they would at least contact me back if the process is this slow to inform me I still am in the running for this position... Any advice would be appreciated :/

Go over there and ask nicely, "since you were in the neighborhood," since your written notice "seems to have gotten waylaid in the mail."

Did you leave a message? PM me with the hospital name and I can see if I've worked there.
Lev,
Yes I left messages for both HR and unit manager. I will PM you the hospital
