Did anyone take ATI's in school?

Published

Our school really focused on ATI's during the school year. We had to take the GN predicter and pass with a higher score than 60% to have our BON application signed. I made a 99% with no problem. (That means I should have a 99% chance of passing the NCLEX.) Well, I took my NCLEX today, and ATI's were nothing like the NCLEX!! I feel that my school did me a disservice by focusing on those tests.

Does anyone else feel that way?

we had to do all the ati's too but it wasn't a 'you have to pass it in order to get your paperwork signed' type of thing. they basically used it as a predictor for us and for them of who would pass the NCLEX. i felt like the questions were nothing like the ones on the NCLEX but the questions on the ATI's were a good review. obviously they did something right because everyone in my class that has taken the NCLEX so far has passed.

We also used ATI, I did well on the predictor, 99% chance of passing although my grade was only 74.5 I am taking NCLEX soon and I hope that ATI is helpful, I need all the help I can get

good luck

Our school used the ATI and I loved them. In fact I felt that they did more to help me prepare for the NCLEX than any other prep guide. I used Saunders book and CD some, but i felt that the ATI helped me sharpen my critical thinking skills, which is what I felt the NCLEX test was all about. Everyone is different though, I know a lot people that did not like the ATI tests and some who loved them.
