Did anyone do the LPN to BSN at university of phoenix? How was it? How much did it cost?
hi, im looking into getting into their lvn-bsn program. Can you give more info how to get in? And how long do i wait? [email protected]
Contact the university where you are and let them know, or go online and fill out the requested info and they call you back pretty quickly. Are you in CO or CA? The wait depends on the program and how many (if any) pre-req's you need.
I am reading all the post concerning university of phoenix online LPN to BSN program and are confused, was not aware that they offered that program and when I called them they said they did not. Is it only in some states that they offer this program. I live in VA and have a BA and want to go back for the RN but do not want to spend the next 3 years in classrooms, can anyone direct me in the right path.

Jackie,
I am trying to do the UOP program at the Modesto Campus hopefully for 2014. I responded to the invite for the Program Preview & waiting to hear back from someone. Are you trying to get into the program this year as well? It would be nice to have someone to study with...email me if you would like [email protected]
I was a student at the university of Phoenix here in Arizona. First, I will say be careful in what you get yourself into. It sounds all good when they are enrolling you until you hit a few bumps and they will drop you like a hot potato after you have invested thousands of dollars in federal student loans. They have no student body to serve your interest. They have change their ATI testing system many times. When they make theses changes, they will still hold mistakes you made in the old system against you. I have seen many LPNs with many years of experience dropped out of the program when they are almost at the end of the program. My advice is that get your RN somewhere else and you can go there and do your BSN online. Their ATI testing system will determine if you finish the program. They require you to score 74% or better to move on to the next class; sounds easy until you have a bad testing day with the ATI or your child is sick and your score is low in the class you end up with a 73.5%. Most of the instructors are BSN RNs who are burnt out on the clinical floor on their jobs and they go on this power trip on the students. They are for profit, they do not serve your interest. They want your federal student loans. Do your home work before you make a decision. They have a 15% graduation rate, look it up. They attract you because of the adult learning environment and the one night a week class. Most of your time is spent on writing papers instead of them teaching you about the ATI testing and NCLEX materials. They do not teach about the ATI at all, you do it at your own time, they don't even go over it in class. Do your home work.
