Did Anyone Go From LVN to RN in CA?

Published

Hello All,

I just found out that I passed my NCLEX-PN yesterday and I am wanting to on for my RN. I am wondering if anyone here did this and where you went, how long it took, etc. I do not have any prerequisites completed.

Thank you very much!

yes, i was an lvn for 14 years then finally returned to complete my rn. the pre requisites were never ending but i finally finished and have never been sorry. i am about to finish my bsn and am thinking about an msn degree as well. time passes and what we do with it makes it worthwhile.

good luck in your future education goals.

LVN-RN through East Los Angeles College. They did a great job! I was an LVN for 22 years. Do not follow my example, start those prereqs now. Good luck!

I did so too.

Most community colleges have the prerequisites. You can take just one class or a full time schedule.

And get on waiting lists ASAP.
