Hi everybody :),
I signed up for Mosby's NCLEX-RN CAT online yesterday and did 1 test. I liked it and I think it was a little bit challenging. In addition to Mosby's CAT, I am using NCSBN and Sounder's, and I think I am feeling overwhelmed
Did anybody use it for their NCLEX - RN preparation ? If so, was it helpful? Did it resemble actual NCLEX-RN?
Please, Please, Please let me know
Thank you

hi, i used mosby cat test online to study and found the questions to be helpful and very similiar to my nclex exam, however DO NOT be fooled into a false sense of security. i mean this from a sense of i was scoring 95% chance of passing consistently on those tests. i then took nclex and failed. from what i can understand, it means that it is 95% chance of passing at the lowest level. im not really sure how they calculate it.
i guess what im saying is that the questions are very much like the nclex questions but just remember to review the answers for every single one.
i am now doing the kaplan complete review and recommend it totally, especially with their decision tree. you can even figure out the questions which you do not necessarily know the answer to.
good luck with the studying and dont give up!!!

Thank you soooo much for your reply !
I noticed that I my last test had questions with difficulty level of 1.06. It actually went up from 0.046. I wander how the difficulty level is scored on the NCLEX ?

For me,i dont really like MOSBY review book with questions that i have. It's kinda hard and i feel, that was not what i needed during Dec 2006 i took my exams. What i solely used was Kaplan review book,Q-bank,question trainers, and saunders.I had to read kaplan review book, back to back for like 4 times so that i ll know my content being that i wasnt trained here in US.Lo and behold,i passed with 75 questions.I like kaplan stuffs. It was really helpful.Goodluck.

The Mosby CAT test shut off after 75 questions for me and said I had a 94% chance of passing. I did pass, but with 265 questions. I thought the questions on the Mosby test were easier than the ones on NCLEX. The Questions are okay, but I wouldn't let it give you a false sense of security.
