I found a link here to a site where you can do a large number of alternative format questions. It was helpful to go through the questions this afternoon, but I'm a little concerned because I got at least half a dozen of the diagram questions "wrong" even though my answer was touching or overlapping the "correct" spot. How strict are the locations for these types of questions (and how many might one expect to see on the test) because if the NCLEX is really as strict as the website I visted, I am going to be very nervous when those questions come up on my exam.

I don't know exactly, I can tell you I didn't have any, and the one that I heard about wasn't something that would be hard to find.

i really don't know but as long as you don't click on the exact spot, they won;t give you a mark. What website did you see more of this diagrams?

OMG! I HATE those questions! Doesn't it drive you nuts!?!!? From the few people I know who already took the NCLEX none of them have had those type of questions. So I guess you just have to hope you'll luck out!
I'm looking forward to seeing what other people have to say about this..

In the practice ones I did there wasn't too much leeway, imo.
Definitely post the website so others can practice them also!

This is the website, I hope it is helpful for those of you who are also struggling with these questions. I'm glad I found it posted here and I am planning to go over it again at least twice more before my exam. I am so worried that I will end up getting 20+ of these questions and I am just not good at answering them - I could easily fail if I get a ton of SATA.
I'm a little disappointed that the diagram ones are so ridiculously strict. You would think that if the answer square is overlapping the correct square by more than half, that would be correct. I am glad to hear that these don't dominate the NCLEX though, that's good news to my ears. One less thing to worry about.
I really liked that site for alternative type questions. On my test I only had one diagram and it didn't require any pointing, lol. Hopefully that is more the norm because they are as bad as the SATA. Good luck!
