Hi everybody. This post is not for me, it's really for my mom. She just can't seem to pass the NCLEX-RN. She actually graduated and had a nursing diploma before moving to the US in 1985. Since then, she's taken the test countless times and has never passed. She works two jobs, both of them are hospital related. However, I know that this isn't what she wants. She wants to fulfill her dream of being a nurse here, and everytime the test results come back, I can't help but be broken hearted for her.
Does anybody have any advice for her? Is there anything I can do to help her?
I know this sounds like a sap story but I didn't know who else to turn to. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Has she tried taking a class to help her pass, like Kaplan. I think they are a few hundred dollars, but could be well worth it in the end. There are also tons of books and software to help you study.
Godd luck!

Which state is she writing the exam for? Some actually have limits as to number of times that she can take it before having to retake some classes.
How is her English comprehension? Just because she has lived and worked here for a number of years, she many have issues with understanding what they are looking for in an answer.
You can have her contact me if you would like, and I can help her get thru the exam.............but she has to do the contacting. If she doesn't want to post here, she can contact me via pm.
