Desperate New Grad NYC/LI

Specializes in New grad desperate to start working..

Hello,

So I have come across a lot of posts over the years where people explained how they were able to get hold of a recruiter's info in order to expedite the interview process. I am literally stressed out of my mind due to the fact that I did not think it was going to take me this long to find work and don't even want to think about what will happen if this process is delayed even more. I will truly appreciate if anyone can PM recruiter contacts for any inpatient setting in the NYC/LI area.

Following. I'm in the same boat

Have you guys applied to northwell fellowships?

Why? Do you have ANY prior connection to that facility group? Please provide insight so that we can help

  • I've been applying to northwell jobs years even before I've became a nurse. Not even an interview for any of the UAP positions and its been the same way for the nursing positions. I feel like the only way to get in there is if you have a family member that's already employed. I am an ABSN student with a 3.4 GPA its not like my stats arent good.

That doesn't mean you're black balled. Black balled means that they actively set out to not hire you for a specific reason. Your location is very hard to get hired, if other posts are any indication. Are you able to relocate?

I was being facetious but yea its been tough. I had an interview for a nursing residency and I felt like it went very well but at the end I didn't get a tour and they didn't ask me for the references that I was told to bring.

Also following and in the same boat (December grad). It feels as if the applications I’ve been submitting have been sent into an endless abyss with no responses. Based on posts I’ve seen from other forums/FB groups, most people have said that it takes a while before receiving communication or updates from Northwell - which clearly doesn’t help anyone else in our position LOL. Anxiety has been through the roof constantly about not having a job yet. And the fear of falling so far behind, without having relevant/recent experience, is equally as overwhelming. As much as it sucks, it’s mildly reassuring to hear that others are sharing similar challenges/experiences with the transition from graduating nursing school to finding a real job?

Hilarious ???. I hope you put relevant experience on your resume instead of your GPA.

How about you put both?? Who has a resume without relevant experience on it. Are you trying to be funny or something? FOH with that negative energy.
