Desperate for help

Published

I know that 3 times of week of studying is not enough. But i have a full time job and single mother of 2 small girls and feel that i don't have much time to study. I did not pass the NCLEX-PN test the first time and im really afraid to fail again. Does any one have any suggestions. Please help.:crying2:

hey! first of all you gotta think positive =) im taking mine on the 6th of november and im still scared but believe in yourself. focus on your weakness and if you can find a refresher course then that would be a huge help. if you can, do 2 hours of studying and maybe 100 questions from exam cram or saunders. plan your studies from whats easier to you to whast hardest so the harder subjects are fresh in our mind. use your girls as motivation =) and dont forget to pray! cause remember, if you ask he shall give. goodluck and i hope ive helped you a little.

I'm sorry that you didn't pass the first time. What I would consider doing is studying during your lunch break. An hour is an hour. Do you drive or take public transportation? If you take PT, study while you are on the bus or train. I don't know your life and what takes up your time, but in most cases, we can squeeze in an hour or so a day. Like the previous poster mentioned, think of the better future that you and your child will have. Maybe arrange for a time when the child is quieter, make quicker dinners, even TV dinners (just temporarily, until this passes) to give yourself time. Do you work weekends? If not, maybe neglect the home, so to speak...I mean, maybe now is not the time to totally do fall cleaning. I remember my home being a wreck while I studied during school, and for NCLEX...forget it...it was worse than a tornado. Again, these are just suggestions. Good luck the next round!

I'm sorry you didn't pass. I know what you mean about hard to study with kids. I have a two year old boy who is just go go go all day long. Put the girls to sleep early and study, study on your lunch break. Or if you have to like i did ask favors from your friends or family, they will understand. I have a friend who has 8 kids can you believe it! She passed the NCLEX. So i know you can do it and pray like theres no tomorrow. You will be a nurse soon:nurse:

I am sorry u didn't pass the first time. Stay strong, focused. I know having a full-time job and children can be alot. I am in the same boat but, we can do it. Study and believe in yourself.
