DePaul MENP Fall 2017

Published

Hello All!

I am a career changer looking to apply for DePaul MENP Program for the Fall of 2017. Im looking for any insight in terms of the application process. I have a degree in Science Education. I graduated with a 3.48 so I meet the gpa requirement.

Unfortunately I did not do so well on the prerequisite courses. I'm looking at

three C's and a B+. How ironic considering I teach science! Had a pretty rough start to college but no excuses here!

Are there any applicants that have been accepted with similar grades? How are these viewed/weighed by the college? Does anyone recommend taking the GRE if not needed? Any application advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi all! I am happy; I just received my acceptance email this afternoon for FALL 2017 Lincoln park campus. I believe they are sending out acceptance letters daily up to Friday, the 31st. Check you email regularly. Good luck!

Just called again and I get the sense that the Fall 2017 class for Lincoln Park is full. If anyone has gotten a rejection email, I'd love to hear from you to see if they actually are rejecting people, or if they are just not replying to applicants they do not plan to admit.

I haven't heard back yet either. What did they say that gave you the impression they are full? I do think they will tell us no matter what.

The person I talked to gave me the impression that they were full through her choice of words. After I gave her my name, she said "looks like they're still evaluating your application. You applied to Rosalind Franklin, right?" in a sort of optimistic tone, and she paused and clicked around when I said I applied to Lincoln Park. She wouldn't answer my question about whether or not Lincoln Park was full. I'm paraphrasing, and I know that doesn't tell you much, but her tone sounded really discouraging. I can't do it justice through text.

Called admissions today. The women I spoke to said my application was still "pending" which means they are still making a decision. I asked if decisions would be in by the March 31st deadline and she said she highly doubts it due to the high number of applications. She gives it another week or so.

....so the wait continues!

Positive vibes!

I received an acceptance email this afternoon--major relief.

Congrats Skinny, it's good to hear they're still working on it everyday. I received an email this morning saying that the final decisions will be sent out by April 13th. Good luck to everyone, I'm still waiting to hear.

I accepted admission to another program, goodluck to all of you!

Anyone receive a waitlist or rejection letter yet?

nope, I haven't heard anything!

Hi everyone! Has anyone heard anything regarding a decision today or last week? I received an email at the end of March saying that decisions would be sent by April 13, but just wondering if anyone has heard anything since. My application wasn't fully complete, due to a letter of rec I was waiting on, until Jan 31. I'm just wondering if that is affecting the decision making.

Has anyone heard anything?
