DePaul MENP Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello All!

I am a career changer looking to apply for DePaul MENP Program for the Fall of 2017. Im looking for any insight in terms of the application process. I have a degree in Science Education. I graduated with a 3.48 so I meet the gpa requirement.

Unfortunately I did not do so well on the prerequisite courses. I'm looking at

three C's and a B+. How ironic considering I teach science! Had a pretty rough start to college but no excuses here!

Are there any applicants that have been accepted with similar grades? How are these viewed/weighed by the college? Does anyone recommend taking the GRE if not needed? Any application advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi, has anyone heard anything yet? I was told we would hear back by March 31st!

not yet! fingers crossed though...do you know if we get an e-mail, or letter in the post?

I could be wrong, but I think you'll receive an email first followed by a letter in the mail if you're accepted, but just a letter in the mail if not accepted.

I received an email today informing me of my acceptance!! I applied for the Summer 2017 Lincoln Park cohort, for reference. Good luck to all other summer & fall applicants!! Keep checking your emails :)

kgessert, congratulations on your acceptance!!! I am waiting to hear back for the fall! Super nervous!

Hi! I received my acceptance email yesterday for the Fall at the LP campus! So be on the lookout!

Congratulations on your acceptance!! Did anyone else hear back yet about Fall term?

Yeah, I was accepted for Fall 2017 at the Lincoln Park Campus.

Hello Everyone and congratulations! If you don't mind me asking, when did everyone submit their application? I'm wondering if I just got rejected or if I should keep the hope alive.

I applied sometime in mid-December

I spoke to someone from admissions and they said we should all be notified by the end of March. I applied in early January. From what I understand they look at the top applicants first, usually determined by GPA. Would those of you accepted mind sharing credentials?

Thank you and congratulations to those accepted.

I applied for the fall and haven't heard yet--submitted application mid-january. Gpa was 3.8 for undergrad and 4.0 for prereqs (although some still in progress), so was hoping to have a reasonable chance at admission.
