Denver School of Nursing-January 2015 Start

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

Hey there! I just applied to the DSN BSN completion program for January, 2015 start date. Was wondering if anyone else has applied or will be applying to DSN? I live in Oregon and would have to move to Colorado, but if I get my BSN out of the process I will be happy!

I never received email. So I called them and they said that they sent ut to me already. So they send it again and now I got it. If anybody doesn't receive email should call DSN.

Yeah mine ended up in my junk mail!

I also applied for the January 2015 start date. That's awesome how many people are from different states! I'm a CO native, but I live on the western slope so I'm ready for a little change! I have a friend that just started in the July cohort and she is loving it so far! Good luck to all of you, hopefully we can all get in and will get to meet soon! :)

AH I'm so anxious to hear back! Good luck to everyone! :)

I'm so glad I found this thread! I also applied for Jan '15 start and am counting down days until I hear something. Good luck to all!

Somebody please post on here when you find out! :)

Just got my interview email!! Whoop whoop! It was in my junk email around 6 this morning! Post when you guys hear!

I haven't gotten one :( not sure of they send them all out at the same time?

Based on what I have seen on other forums it could be anytime today or tomorrow! I don't know what their method is for order of contact but just keep checking! You got this! :)

Thanks! And huge congratulations to you!!

I just received my email to interview/take hesi test! I will probably fly out in early September. I am feeling pretty torn about moving though, having a hard time making a final decision. I work for Providence here in Oregon, and part of me wants to stay here and apply to nursing school in oregon next cycle because they will help pay for it and they will fully fund your bachelors degree too. So the graduating with little to no debt sounds very appealing compared to almost 50k. BUT being able to just get started and get my bsn and be done by 23 sounds appealing too! Also moving would be hard because I would have to leave my job and have no income, I have a lot saved up but it will only go so far. Sorry for the long blabbering paragraph, just looking for any advice as I need to make my decision ASAP.

That sounds like a pretty tough decision. I also was torn between moving (not as far as you!) and staying in my hometown and applying to the nursing program here, which has a great reputation and would result in a better financial position upon graduating. I would also be able to keep my job in management at a recreation center here. But for me, a sure bet is better than an uncertainty (if it all works out!). I have a friend who applied to nursing school and got in, turned that school down for a particular reason, and then was unable to get into another nursing program for two years. That was two years she could have been finished and making money/paying off loans. I wish you the best in your difficult decisions, Oregon has some wonderful schools as well!
