  1. I also got an email yesterday saying I was accepted off the waitlist! Woo!!
  2. Got an email today and I am on the alternate list and was invited to orientation on the 29th. Hoping to get a spot but I know most people love Clackamas and are wanting to go there. Congrats to all who were accepted!
  3. Did they say why they cut the cohort down to only 18-24 students this year?
  4. Hey everyone! I'm so excited/anxious about this years application process! This will be my second year applying. I have the proctored essay with Chemeketa on the 11th and an interview with Clackamas on the 22nd. For those who applied to Clackamas what do your points look like? I have a 3.8 GPA and have 55.88/64 points with CCC. Good luck all!
  5. I just got a points verification email yesterday from ccc! They will be sending out invites to the interview the first week of April. Good luck to everyone!
  6. Has anyone been accepted off the waitlist that wasn't invited to orientation?
  7. I am on the waitlist for CCC, I check my email everyday hoping they will offer me a spot! It's nice to know the waitlist is still moving! I will keep my fingers crossed.
  8. I just received my email to interview/take hesi test! I will probably fly out in early September. I am feeling pretty torn about moving though, having a hard time making a final decision. I work for Providence here in Oregon, and part of me wants to stay here and apply to nursing school in oregon next cycle because they will help pay for it and they will fully fund your bachelors degree too. So the graduating with little to no debt sounds very appealing compared to almost 50k. BUT being able to just get started and get my bsn and be done by 23 sounds appealing too! Also moving would be hard because I would have to leave my job and have no income, I have a lot saved up but it will only go so far. Sorry for the long blabbering paragraph, just looking for any advice as I need to make my decision ASAP.
  9. Yes, I recieved an email saying they got my application but it took a couple days. I think it depends on where your sending it from also. I sent mine from Oregon so it took two or three days to get there. If they don't contact you, I would call or email them to ask if they got it in time.
  10. Yay! I know, I can't believe we have to wait six weeks after July 1st to hear anything! It's going to feel like forever. My GPA was 3.6 and I don't have a prior degree, I also just have alot of experience. I work as a CNA2 for Providence and also as a HUC for Providence, as well. From what I have heard, if you get invited to an interview and to take the test your pretty much in, as long as you pass the HESI. Good luck to you all. :)
  11. Hey! I recieved an email from them a few days after sending my application saying that they recieved my application and just needed a confirmation that I was registered for the rest of the credits that I needed this fall, and then that they would contact me six weeks after the deadline about an interview/HESI test. If anyone who lives in the area has any recommendations about good and cheap places to live in Denver or close to, I would appreciate it! Also if someone who is also hoping to attend DSN needs a roomate, I would be open to talking about that as well!
  12. Oh good! I'm glad I heard back from someone else applying! I also have two prereqs I will be finishing this fall, just some gen ed classes. I sent my application in a couple days ago but haven't heard anything yet. I assume it'll take a few days since my app is coming from a couple states away. I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing, picking up and moving to denver would be a big change for me, but I'm also really excited are you from Denver?
  13. Hey there! I just applied to the DSN BSN completion program for January, 2015 start date. Was wondering if anyone else has applied or will be applying to DSN? I live in Oregon and would have to move to Colorado, but if I get my BSN out of the process I will be happy!
  14. So I am finishing up prereqs and have been seriously considering DSN. I have read a lot about it and people seem to really like the program. I want to hear from graduates or current DSN student and what is their opinion of the BSN completion program? Is it worth the money? For you out of state student (I am from Oregon), is it worth the move and was it difficult/expensive to pick up and move there? cheap apartments? ANY information regarding the school and their program or suggestions to make the move easier and affordable are appreciated! I am just trying to figure out my best option and want to get my BSN degree so bad! Thanks for taking your time to read! :)
  15. Sorry to interrupt! Just want some input. I am almost finished with my prereqs and have been seriously considering DSN. I have all A's and B's and I have been working as a CNA in the hospital for about a year. Are my chances of getting in the BSN completion program pretty good?
