Denver School of Nursing-January 2015 Start

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

Hey there! I just applied to the DSN BSN completion program for January, 2015 start date. Was wondering if anyone else has applied or will be applying to DSN? I live in Oregon and would have to move to Colorado, but if I get my BSN out of the process I will be happy!

I also applied to the DSN BSN completion program for January 2015! I have 2 pre-requisities left to finish--college algebra and nutrition. I received an email from the director of admissions that they have received my application and would like a copy of my schedule to prove I will be taking my last two pre-reqs. Have you heard anything yet?! I am so nervous waiting to hear about an admission decision!

Oh good! I'm glad I heard back from someone else applying! I also have two prereqs I will be finishing this fall, just some gen ed classes. I sent my application in a couple days ago but haven't heard anything yet. I assume it'll take a few days since my app is coming from a couple states away. I'm pretty nervous about the whole thing, picking up and moving to denver would be a big change for me, but I'm also really excited are you from Denver?

Hey guys,

I sent out my application last week but I do not hear back from them yet.

Is anybody heard back from DSN, please let me know.

:)

Hey! I recieved an email from them a few days after sending my application saying that they recieved my application and just needed a confirmation that I was registered for the rest of the credits that I needed this fall, and then that they would contact me six weeks after the deadline about an interview/HESI test. If anyone who lives in the area has any recommendations about good and cheap places to live in Denver or close to, I would appreciate it! Also if someone who is also hoping to attend DSN needs a roomate, I would be open to talking about that as well!

I just sent in my application for January 2015 start also! I am from California, so big possible move for me. I am so anxious to hear back it is ridiculous haha. Do you guys have previous Bachelors degrees? I'm nervous because my GPA isn't prime, but I have a lot of experience. AH I want to go so bad!

Yay! I know, I can't believe we have to wait six weeks after July 1st to hear anything! It's going to feel like forever. My GPA was 3.6 and I don't have a prior degree, I also just have alot of experience. I work as a CNA2 for Providence and also as a HUC for Providence, as well. From what I have heard, if you get invited to an interview and to take the test your pretty much in, as long as you pass the HESI. Good luck to you all. :)

Yeah thats what I've read on previous forums. I have a BS in Health Science with a minor in Psychology, but I have a 3.065 but a lot of experience (interned in a hospital for a year, I've gone on 6 volunteer medical trips to 5 different countries, had lots of leadership in college, and am now a doula, as well as the manager at my work) so I'm just really hoping that makes up for my GPA haha.

But important for those who have a previous degree, you don't have to take the HESI anymore, that changed for July 2014 cohort.

Hey, 6 weeks from tomorrow. I'm so excited. My GPA from previous BS is low as 3.04 but my GPA for 6 pre-req is 4.0, so I hope it will help me:)

Did everybody receive an email saying their application was received? I read on other threads that's what they do but I haven't. Did you guys? Should I call?

Yes, I recieved an email saying they got my application but it took a couple days. I think it depends on where your sending it from also. I sent mine from Oregon so it took two or three days to get there. If they don't contact you, I would call or email them to ask if they got it in time.

Interesting, yeah I sent mine from California and from USPS tracking I know it got there early but I haven't gotten an email. I'll just try and be patient (so hard!).
