U.S.A. Colorado

Hi everyone! I'm currently applying to DCN for the October 2019 cohort! Wanted to see who else is doing the same. Super nervous/excited!

hey everyone! I have my interview june 10th for the BSN program and I was wondering do you guys know what the interview is like? I've read it's very informal and you're basically admitted when they ask you to interview but I wasn't sure if anyone knew for sure.

Hi i got an email Monday about interviewing for the october start!

I received mine this morning as well!!

We did it! If you guys are planning on attending I would love to make a group on Facebook or something so we can get to know our cohort and make study groups!

You got it for October? I got mine for october this week as well. You can add me Jessica Day

Hi all! I just wanted to chime in but I got an email at 6am on the 14th letting me know I was waitlisted :/ ... They said that I would know before or by August 13th if I got in or not to the September 30th cohort. Which is a bummer waiting longer also bc I would be coming out of state not knowing the lay of the land. Good luck to everyone still waiting? ?

Hey everyone,

I interviewed earlier this week and I just submitted my enrollment interview! Has anyone else committed to the program yet?

Anyone on the waitlist hear anything yet? The suspense is KILLING me!

Hi guys! I know this post is fairly old but I have some questions for anyone who is willing to answer! I'm starting Oct 2019 but so far have been denied loans by all 3 suggested lending companies because there is too much movement on my credit report with buying a house this year etc. (even with a co-signer) Do any of you have any other suggestions? Scholarship ideas I should try? I really don't want to have to pay cash out of pocket since I won't be able to work but I guess that might be my last resort! Thanks!

Hey all,

I have officially accepted and did all my financing, so I am in for the October start!!

Msteele2011: The only thing I can think of is if you got a personal student loan (not one that they list) and if it could get dispersed to you then maybe you could pay those monthly payments with that? Im not sure how it would logistically work, but worth a shot to look into. Or work with your advisor, maybe they can give you some options. Mine has been very helpful. Best of luck!!

I ended up just making a payment plan with them, which worked out really well. They are super helpful! Thanks for the advice though, I may do that for the second year! Excited to start this fall!

Hi! What was your guys GPA when applying? I plan to apply but my grades are not as competitive...

I had a pretty good GPA, 3.67 for undergrad then all As for prerequisites with 1 B.

Your essay is important though, the don’t just look at grades from what Jeff (admissions) told me.

What is great about Denver College of Nursing is they do holistic admissions, meaning they aren't as strict about grades as other places. They look at work experience too. My GPA was 3.4 and I have 5 years a CNA. 1 at nursing home and 4 in hospital.
