Degree or experience, what are employers looking at?

I have been accepted to two LPN-RN bridge programs. On is a degree program, and other a diploma program. Can the RNs out there working in the field, please tell me what employers are looking for. Are they interested more in experience, or someone having a degree!

I will be moving from Missouri, to California to work. Any feedback that I can get will be appreciated.

Ideally they would like both. But if they had to choose I think that hands on experience will carry more weight.

Employers are interested that your license is clear and they want to know what kind of nursing experience you have.

What do you mean by diplioma? I thiought the mimimum requirement to be an RN is an associates degree. A diploma is for LPNs. If you did the diploma option, would you even be able to sit for the NCLEX. I have never ever heard of an RN diploma.

There are still RN diploma programs in the US, but they are few and far between.
