Hello, Everyone
I was looking for information regarding the Declaratory Order. I have submitted my fingerprints and I received a letter to conplete a Declaratory Order (free of charge). I gathered my information and submitted it to the Texas BON. After about 3 weeks I received a letter stating I needed to send $150 for further review. I was accepted into the LVN program. I have never been convicted of a felony. I do have a shoplifting conviction from 1998 when I was a teenager but I took supervision so that I would not have a conviction on my background. I have 4 arrest but no convictions. I have had my background checked for numerous jobs and this has nevee come up. (With BON everything comes up)
My question is I figured that I would not have to go through this review if the arrest did not end in conviction. I really want to start the nursing program. Has anyone wwnt through this process? I am going tomorrow to drop the check off to start the process. Does this process really take 60 days? The nursing program wants me to have a clearance letter within 30 days to start the program or they are going to give my slot up. Is there anything that I could do?
Thanks in advance for any help. 😢
