December Test Takers Support Group

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

So, I finally feel I should not give up......I will be a retaker for 2nd time in December. I felt so low when I failed the test in July'07. I was thinking to take in october but just couldnt get motivated to study. In the meantime, I joined RN-BSN program. So, currently I am in school taking 15 credits of classes. I need to have my RN license before winter so I can do practical in communnity health, a required class for BSN.

After visiting this site almost everyday, reading success stories and encouragement given by one of my wonderful instructor from my ASN program, I am motivated to do it.

So, newcomers as well as retakers, Lets get together, support each other and lets pass the RN test. WE CAN DO IT.

For now, I have started practicing Q&A at least 2 hrs/day from Saunders CD. I will keep you updating and hope you all will share the tips as well.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US. :welcome: TO THE SUPPORT GROUP .

Hi everyone!

I took my test this past Friday, 12/14 and I was just sooo scared! But once I started answering the questions, I kinda began to calm down. Haha! I was just thinking that that was another Q bank set of questions that I was answering. Mine stopped at 75 and it took me 3.5 hours! Well I took a break and really wanted to absolutely certain before I click next! I got lots of priority, like what would you do first and who would you see first, lots of teaching esp about meds, 2 math, prolly about 5 SATA. My last Q was a priority one. I prolly had about 3-4 hypothyroidism questions!! Haha! I felt that I was able to analyze and rationalize but I'm still not 100% sure. =( This anticipation is killing me!!! I checked my BON website and my name is not up there yet. DID I FAIL??? =( I can view my Quick Results now but I don't wanna pay the $7.95! Haha. But if my name did not appear on the BON website NOW, does that mean I was not successful??? Oh gawd I am sooo freakin' outttt!!!

you do have guts and patience to wait for BON.....Good Luck...u r in my prayers.

we all will be praying for you guys. please take your time and remember you have prepared all you can and you can do it............god bless you two tomorrow and all rest of us on our day.

X'ray verifies the placement of NG tube in the stomach in the initially. The pH is done each time liquids or medication are administered, and once a shift for continuous feeding. The pH is also used to monitor the advancement of tube into the small intestines. pH testing is best suited for distinguishing between gastric and intestinal placement. Hope this helps. I just reviewed this yesterday.

I also failed the NCLEX the first time I took it in October with 183 questions. I defnitely let anxiety get the best of me, I started rushing through the questions just trying to get done. I was absolutely devastated! I had no confidence and didn't even want to think about studying again!

But about a week later I knew that this was the only profession I would ever want to work in and it was worth taking the test as many times as I had too! I kept telling myself the 2nd time I take the nclex that I would own that test. I walked into the testing center the 2nd with soooo much more confidence and so much calmer than the first time. I was done at 75 q's and knew that I had passed, even though waiting two days to find out did mess with my confidence a little! I even had to check pearsonvue 3 times to make sure it said I passed!

The main thing I did different was just practicing questions instead of reviewing material. I also made myself take all the time I needed to answer the questions. It took me 2 hours to do 75q's! That's slow for me, it took me 2 1/2 hours to do the 183 q's my first time I took the nclex.

YOU CAN DO IT! HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF! IT'S ALL ABOUT CONTROLLING YOUR ANXIETY AND WALKING IN THE TESTING ROOM WITH CONFIDENCE, even if it's fake!

GOOD LUCK!

I also used kaplan and my qtrainer ranged from 60-68% and I passed with 75 q's. I think that as long as you become comfortabe doing the questions you will be fine!

Boniesha2300 & jjt... Goodluck on your exam! Stay confident & pray! Godbless to both of you! Let us know how you guys did okay. we're all praying for you. :)

seriously, i feel like am not ready!!!

i have 11 days left exactly....
