Debunk myth of online programs

Hi Everyone,

Will someone please debunk the myth that hospitals do not accept online BSN degrees? If this is in fact true, why?

As long it has NLN or CCNE accreditation, there shouldn't be any problem with a degree being accepted.

So I guess it doesn't matter if you earn an ASN from Excelsior and then go for the BSN; will a hospital then still hire that nurse?

The question is this: if you earn an ADN from Excelsior, will you be able to practice in the state you wish? It is the state's BON I would worry about not the hospital.

It is a SUGGESTION ONLY that NP's have a DNP by 2015.

Merely a suggestion and recommendation.

NOT a requirement as some tend to believe.
