Daytona State Nursing Spring 2020

Published

Hello my name is Cassidy. I am writing on here because I wanted to get an idea on how many people are signing up for the nursing program of spring 2020. You would sign up in September. My GPA is 3.84 I am currently in my last prerequisite Microbiology. I still have to do teas on my teas practice I scored 81% in reading 70% in math in high 50%+ in science English (which I am trying to bring up before I take teas). What scores would you recommend to get that way I am guaranteed a spot. I can't wait another year to get in.. I know in my micro class there is about 20+ applying for September. Just wanted some advice...

I got accepted!!! This was my 4th time applying! My GPA is a 3.08 so I'm very shocked.

From previous posts on allnurses, this is what I've seen as far as the schedule:

"Day program is T-F 8a-4p. Evening program is M-TH 2-10p. 30 hours a week with lecture, lab and clinicals combined. No summer with a total of 4 semesters."

Has anyone made a group Facebook page yet? It would probably be helpful for studying, due dates, just communication in general. If not I can go ahead and make one!

YES! Please do ? I'd love to stay connected with everyone. Let us know the name of the page when you do.

Congratulations! Did you get accepted in the Transition program or ADN program? From what I've seen so far, no one from transition program yet but not sure.

Hey y'all!!

I'm looking to finish my prereqs for nursing at DSC over the next 2 semesters. I was wondering if any of you chose to take MGF 2016 (Survey in Math) over MAC 1105 (College Algebra). Is it better to take College Algebra? Or should I just play it safe and take MGF 2016?

Thanks!!:)

I was advised (and ended up taking) Survey in Mathematics. I wouldn’t stress yourself out over taking college algebra when you don’t need it and you definitely want the highest GPA you can get to increase your chances of getting in the nursing program down the road :)
