Daughter #1 becomes RN - the torch is passed!

Published

Hi all. Quick, nice story: #1 daughter is now an RN at the age of 21, having neatly bypassed academic debt by going to the local community college - ha! Anyhow, she asked her 87-year-old patient the other day where he'd gotten the long scar on his shoulder. "Oh, that was where the Japanese fellow bayoneted me. That was when I beat a hasty retreat from his foxhole." Daughter then sincerely thanked him for his courage and service - the guy almost burst into tears...the torch is passed!
