Dating another RN?

Nurses General Nursing

I appologize - Im sure this topic has been beaten to death.

I am taking classes for my position when I met another RN. We talked a lot and seemed to really hit it off. He asked me out and I was delighted. We both work for the same hospital system but at different hospitals and different floors. I couldnt find in our manual except no relations with anyone whom you have authority over.

I *think* it is okay with our facility if we date but Im not sure. I thought I would ask here since I am unable to ask a manager until later this week.

Thanks:redbeathe

Keep your personal life personal. It's not your manager's business.

I am dating several RNs where I work and it has never been a problem. Plus, I am married :)

:nmbrn:Girl, you're crazy!

Specializes in NICU, PICU, PACU.

We have had lots of people, including myself, date and MARRY people who worked at our hospital :) You just can't be in charge if they are on your floor (an RN and RN). We have several people on my unit that are married to RTs and xray techs and a couple to docs. Never a problem!

Our hospital just did a PR thing on couples that met and married at our hospital for Valentine's Day...it was so much fun and my and DH had a blast with the interview :)

So go and have fun!

Thanks.

Ill be sure to have fun. :yeah:

Go for it!

Just a hint...be sure to only date one nurse per department and/or one physician per group. Even then, lines can get crossed. ;)
