Hello! I am applying to darton nursing program in albany ga. Can anyone tell me what their average is on the HESI exam and what is the lowest GPA they have taken. Thanks.
It went better than expected. I ended up with a composite score of 96. It is such a relief!
As far as the test goes, I would recommend getting the HESI A2 study guide that Darton sells in the bookstore. It helped me a lot. The math, reading, grammar, and vocabulary sections on the HESI are just like what you study in the guide. Focus on the conversions such as ml to L and ounces to cups to gallons, etc. There were also a LOT of ratios and fractions.
The anatomy and physiology part was a little bit more difficult. It is such a broad range of topics that the test has questions on. I would recommend getting a quick study guide like cliff notes and just read over it. The questions on the test weren't too in depth, though. Just basic concepts.
I hope that this helps you prepare :) Good Luck on your test!
HADD7,
that is the same book that I used to study. Just look over the math, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and grammar and you will be fine. As far as the conversions, really look at kg to lbs, ml to L, and quarts, ounces, etc. The biology, chemistry. and physics portions are not tested at Darton so don't worry about those. The book has a short explanation on each of the body systems in the anatomy and physiology part. It is helpful as well.
homes300,
I am also applying for january! I hope you do well on your HESI. Best of luck! Let us know how it turns out.
A co worker just finished from darton and she was driving from atlanta to albany..how long is the program that start in january. Another co worker started at fort benning.. it like pulling teeth trying to get in in columbus ga..I heard they look at how many classes you've finished.. 300 applicants and 150 seats. I don't know just been praying about..
