Darton College anyone

U.S.A. Georgia

Hello,

Just wondering if their are any current students or graduates from the Darton College Nursing Program in Albany, Georgia. I would like to hear of your experiences or any advice you would like to give in regards to the program.

Thanks

How did everyone do on their hesi? I was tryingto get into Darton Spring 2011 but now I think my chances are slim to none. I only made a 74.44 on hesi, I have p.e. and micro as pre-reqs left, and my gpa is only 3.33. What about you all?

If I remember correctly I only made a few points higher on my HESI and got in, but I don't remember exactly what I made...76ish I think.

I have to correct the previous post, I think on the A&P portion I made the 76ish, but overall it was in the mid 80s. I had only had A&P1 at the time so I was too upset of the 76.

From reading the pro and cons from most of the postings I would be interested in Darton College. For those of you who have graduated, is Math not one of the requirements to be accepted into the school/nursing program? I did not see it listed on the curriculum. Did you go full time, commuted or lived close by? I am currently in Atlanta, GA. Did you find the program easier having a nursing background if you were already a LPN? Also would it be helpful to get most of the core classes locally then try to apply to the nursing program? Any information you have would be helpful and appreciated. Congratulations to those of you who have been successful in the program and to those who will be graduating soon.

for PeaceKeepr and others who have gained their nursing degree from Darton, what did your first semester schedule looked like? at what point was clinical started?

Hello I'm in the process of applying for Darton's nursing program again in March. I recently taken the Hesi in October but didn't do so great, can anyone tell me how to bring up my A&P score please, and also the vocab,,,,congrats to you all that have past
