Hi, I am really desperate to know anything about Dameron Hospital before my interview, please. Can someone be able to tell me bout this hospital. I really want to work in California but my agency told me this is the only hospital they've got at the moment, and seems I might grab this oppurtunity to join the interview. Any informations I will get from this forum will be highly appreciated.
A big thank you!
I have lived all my life in Stockton and have been to St Josephs and Dameron both. I used to have a bad impression of Dameron and would only tell people to go to St Josephs but this has changed.
On December 24, I had to visit a friend who was a patient at Dameron, I was not looking forward to it since my last experience was not nice but it was 3 years ago.
My friend was on the 4th floor, I met the Manager, first I was surprised that he was even there considering that it was Chrsitmas eve. I did not see any other Managers but ne was there making rounds and talking to his staff. I got off the elevator and when he saw me asked if I needed help, it must have been the confused lost and dazed look I had. He not only directed me to the right direction he actually walked me and my wife over to the room..Wow what service. The nurses were wonderful also. He introduced himself but I cannot remember his name.
I would definitely recommend Dameron now. I hope they keep it up.

Nice to know that "stocktonnative" is actually someone in management reposting a patient's thank-you letter which was sent to the tele manager at the time. You can tell it was planted, the person only has one post on this site. Aside from this "glowing" letter, Dameron hospital is a total sinkhole filled with horrible administration, and punitive managers. I have RN friends who over the years have been fired for no reason, bullied to death by their managers and unit coordinators who are constantly riding them. That specific tele manager from the letter is now gone, he was the only bright star in that place and they ran him out too. Leaving that dump was the smartest thing he did.

Hi Californiarn100, I see there's an open house for the next versant program coming up and was wondering between the 4 depts listed (icu neonatal, coronary care, icu, and labor/delivery) if you've heard anything good or bad about any of them. Also if you don't mind me asking, what's the ballpark figure for new grads salary (hourly) there? What dept do you work and how did you like the versant program?
