Anyone here attending DNI in 2016 or 2017?
Yes I agree with you tiff I have read a lot of bad reviews myself about it and I'm so confused because I know 3 girls who have graduated and passed successfully from this school and are now working their careers at hospitals and are happy but I just wanted to double check and make sure. Yes the scheduling is easier than other nursing programs because it's in the evenings and I can still work full time and go to school. I have a child too so sometimes it isn't as easy as others. I haven't applied to the school yet but I'm considering it soon. Is there anything I should look forward to or any advice you can give?
Of course! I started the application process in October after applying to Concorde and leaving highly disappointed. I went online to request more information and someone called me back within 24 hours, if not the same day. I spoke with a rep who seemed kind of short with her answers and insisted I came to view the school. I went that Friday and spoke with the rep and toured the facility in the same day. It is nice and realized that she seemed short over the phone because they explain everything in detail in person. I went head and applied the same day, with a 100.00 app fee. Once I applied, I was scheduled to take my HESI exam. This is what I liked... they give you access to a site to help you study for the exam, along with the option to purchase the study guide from them. Went back and passed the exam, in which you are also required to write an essay at the same time. Also!! DNI will not enroll you unless you have clearance from the BON. Concorde never mentioned it during their application process. Now, I have a misdemeanor that I had to send in a declaration for. This included completing the finger print (this was a little over 30.00 out of pocket). The clearance from BON took about a month. Once I got clearance, I took my drug test (which is also an out of pocket expense, 30.00), spoke with financial aid (super helpful) and on Friday I finished all enrollment forms and got fitted for my scrubs. It seems long and drawn out but it actually wasn't too bad!
I am at the end of my 3rd term, 5 months left! It has been challenging to say the least. Are you going to be in the day or evening program?
If you have any questions lmk & I will try to help. I'm not sure how to pm but feel free to pm me if you can figure it out.
Best of luck! Study, study, study....it's not going to be easy but you can do it!

I will begin the part time LVN program in April of this year. I have read plenty of reviews, good and bad, however, I'm a firm believer that situations are what you make of them. I will say this... the enrollment process has been a plus for me, so I won't judge the school until I'm actually there. Like some of you on this post, I work full-time and I have children so the program fits perfectly for me. Yes, a community college route is "easier" for some, however at TCC, I wouldn't be able to work full-time because their classes begin at 3:00pm. I'm actually very excited to begin this journey!
