Does anyone know of GVNs being hired in settings other than long-term care? Is so, where? Salary?

CareNow operates a large chain of urgent care clinics scattered all around the DFW metroplex, and they openly advertise for GVNs in their numerous newspaper employment ads. However, their pay rates are rather crappy. GVNs start at $12.50 hourly, and LVNs start at $14 per hour.
However, they offer $3 shift differential for evenings, and $4 shift differential for weekend work.

Does anyone know if many hospitals are willing to hire GVN's at all? I have considered CareNow because I've seen their ads, but I would like to find some other choices...

Thanks. I too thought about CareNow, but when I went to their website, it states that you must work any shift that they tell you. Evening, Nights, and Days.
I don't mind the evenings, and nights..it's having to work days, that gets me.
Another note, I need a SET schedule. I don't want to have to wonder what hours I am working everyday.

Try Baylor -- any of their hospitals. (downtown, Grapevine, Irving are some I know of.) I worked at Baylor-Irving a few years ago as a CNA and they had a few LVNs in some of the different areas that I worked. (Post-Partum, Med-Surg and Rehab). Do a Google search to find their web site and check out their openings.)
Good luck!:)
