cystolithiasis

I just took my MED TERM final yesterday, let's test my knowledge....

cyst/o - bladder

lith - stone

-iasis - abnormal condition

Hmmm. The abnormal condition of bladder stones?

Kidney stones are abnormal. They form in the kidney, and move down the ureter to the bladder. If they do not cause too much pain in their travels, and then are extreted via the urethra, otherwise they need to be removed by a surgical procedure, or lithotripsy.
