Cypress College ADN Spring 2022

Hello I made this forum because I did not see one for Cypress ADN program for Spring 2022. Just in case anyone has questions or answers to help out any future nurses. I have already applied for Cypress so now it is just the waiting game for me. I did also add a forum for El Camino College and LA City College just in case you need any help with those applications.

Btw, here is a copy of what I received in August for my Fall 2021 app:

"Dear Applicant,

It has come to our attention that this notification, which was previously emailed on June 11, 2021, was never received. Please see below for your Fall 2021 Nursing Notification.

Dear applicant,

Thank you for your interest application to the Golden West College School of Nursing. It is with regret that we are unable to offer you an admission space into the Fall 2021 cohort. Upon review of your application and verification of all documents and transcripts submitted, your total application score received is not as competitive as the other applicants. All ranking and scoring are review and verified with the submitted documents.

Admission to the GWC Nursing Program is very competitive due to the limited number of seats per cohort. 

We encouraged all applicants who are not admitted this period to reapply to the next application cycle. 

We wish you the best in your educational journey.

What were your stats for the fall pool of you don’t mind me asking?

Not at all. For Cypress they were 23 (I finished Chem, Pharmacology, cultural diversity, and EMT since last app cycle), and GWC was 77

PSYC G118, ENG G100, COMM G110 - 3 POINTS

BIO GPA: 3.38 (I got a C in Anatomy) - 25

TEAS 91.3% - 30

Degree: AA (currently working on BA at CSUF) - 4

BIO G200, ENG G110, MATH G160 - 6

NURS G099 (Now G101) - 1

Life Exp - 3 (Everyone gets it, no docs needed)

Military Service - 3

Direct Patient care or volunteer: 0

Language Proficiency - 2

Total for Fall 2021: 77

I have 82 now for GWC and 26/30 for Cypress. Should I need to apply for Fall 2022, I will have 85 at GWC and 26 still at Cypress.

You may have already said earlier, but may I ask what were and are your points now @rowlab? If that is too personal, my apologies. I know point status can sometimes be a difficult thing to answer.

I believe that I would have 29/30 for cypress or 30 depending on what circumstances they take! I haven’t applied to GWC yet, but I’ll probs be applying in Spring for fall, and if all seems right and if what the counselor told me, I would have 82 points for GWC!

Even at 29, that is still amazing! If you do end up needing to apply to GWC for Fall 2022, you have some solid points. If you need any help or recommendations on who to talk to at GWC Counseling, feel free to DM me.

The deadline for Spring 2022 was due on Sept 10

Yeah, application period was sept 1 - sept 10 and deadline to submit documents like transcripts is oct 1st

I just logged on to the Health Science Application page, and it still says

"Application Status: Incomplete - documents due"

I sent my last transcript on Sept 2nd, is anyone else still experiencing this? I hope I'm just being impatient and that this is due to them still dealing with the early stages of the application process and not due to one of my transcripts not reaching them.

Is there a way to check to see if Cypress Nursing got my transcripts, or is my only route to contact Admissions and Records?

Any and all info would be help, and I apologize in advance if I'm over thinking/hyper-anxious about this.

I believe that when I checked the other day, for me, it said completed. You might want to contact A/R on Monday to see if they did receive your documents. If I’m not mistaken official transcripts are due by Oct 1 by 5PM
