Cypress College ADN Spring 2022

Hello I made this forum because I did not see one for Cypress ADN program for Spring 2022. Just in case anyone has questions or answers to help out any future nurses. I have already applied for Cypress so now it is just the waiting game for me. I did also add a forum for El Camino College and LA City College just in case you need any help with those applications.

Yes its my first time applying to any program. I finished my prereqs earlier this year and applied to 6 programs and will be applying for 3 more. So im hoping at least one of these schools accepts me. How about you?

I was able to apply to 3 schools because I took my TEAS late August. But we’ll see ?

Is anyone in this forum or reading it, has anyone previously applied to Cerritos college? If so, did you guys get that email they sent out on Friday in regards to a special Spring 2022 admissions opportunity?

its probably because so many people apply. It's all up to the lottery and having good luck. Good luck to all of us and may we all get accepted to our number 1 choice of program!

per the program brochure, it states that "Application must be completed online in the beginning of September for the following Spring and Fall enrollment. Applicants will be notified via email twice each year, in December and in May."

so I am assuming sometime in December LOL

Notification in December is confirmed. I spoke to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) via CraniumCafe/ConexED on September 8th - I had a question if I needed to attach my college's unofficial transcripts with my app since I did not take any courses at Cypress or Fullerton College. Turns out, no. - she told me that official notice would happen in December for Spring before signing off.

Hi everyone,

This is my '2nd time' applying since I submitted my first and very shaky application in Sept 2020, so I guess I'm just updating my app and hopefully moving up on the waiting list. Currently I have 26/30 so I don't think I have much of a chance if the wait list has 30s. That said, you can't succeed if you don't try, so I'm swinging for the fences. I'm also applying to Saddleback (75/100) and Golden West (82/100) which is also where I did my pre-reqs. Hoping one of them will take me on.

Hi @Kenji12345 GWC Fall 2022 application won’t be out until around Spring time right? 

I should have 30 points for Cypress but I’m also applying to other schools!

If last year is anything to go by, then yes. I had to submit my application back in March and I was supposed to be notified in June. However, I did not get official word until August, and it was a denial ??????. With 30 points at Cypress, I don't think you have to worry near as much as I do. You are going to be fine.

 

Btw, here is a copy of what I received in August for my Fall 2021 app:

"Dear Applicant,

It has come to our attention that this notification, which was previously emailed on June 11, 2021, was never received. Please see below for your Fall 2021 Nursing Notification.

Dear applicant,

Thank you for your interest application to the Golden West College School of Nursing. It is with regret that we are unable to offer you an admission space into the Fall 2021 cohort. Upon review of your application and verification of all documents and transcripts submitted, your total application score received is not as competitive as the other applicants. All ranking and scoring are review and verified with the submitted documents.

Admission to the GWC Nursing Program is very competitive due to the limited number of seats per cohort. 

We encouraged all applicants who are not admitted this period to reapply to the next application cycle. 

We wish you the best in your educational journey.
