Cyclic vomiters (drive me up the wall)

I don't know what in the heck causes cyclical vomiting, but my cynical side tells me they are a little nuts. My compassionate side gets shoved into a dark closet when taking care of these folks.

I try to be nice, of course, but it's ever do difficult.

Yeah, if they're still vomiting like crazy and come in needing IV Zofran, clearly the THC isn't actually helping.

That's what most of them say.

But the only think that stops the vomiting is stopping the THC.

I was in rehab (drug/etoh not physical!) with a CVSer. Idiopathic, young adult who needed lots of pain medication to make the vomiting stop. It was interesting during group sessions to watch everyone dance around the idea that the CVS may not have any physiological roots, especially the family sessions where you could tell the family was at the end of their rope with what probably amounted to hundreds of days in wasted hospital stays and ER visits.

Typically they don't want zofran. They want IV Benadryl and hydromorphone.

I've seen this several times with wretching and vomiting and sometimes pain. One thing that has always been a constant is Pot use, and each time they are very heavy users. I read an article about it too a few years ago.
