hi fellow nurses! can someone please help me.. im a fresh graduate and just passed the July 2011 NLE..
1. what do i need to put on step 1 where it was asked where u recently worked? do i still need to put Philippines and Manila for the city? i can't leave it blank since there is an asterisk there.. i also put REGISTERED NURSE in the question for recently worked in what profession.. is that alright even though i haven't worked yet as a nurse? i already put zero for experience..
2. on my step 4: education overview, i need to fill up the questions about my school.. i am a transferee, i had my 1st year up to 3rd year 1st semester in DLS-HSI (that was from june 2007 up to october 2009) and then i transferred to UPHSD and i had my 3rd year 2nd semester there and graduated in the same school (that is from november 2009 up to march 2011).. i know i need to put the last school i attended but im confused on what to put in the entry date.. do i need to put the real entry date? because that will be november 2009 and the completed date will be march 2011.. im kinda bothered because they might think that i just had my nursing course for 2 years.
3. i haven't received my license yet because it will be released on november 22, 2011. i already know that the registration number will be the same for my license number.. what do i need to put on my status of my license, Active or Inactive?
i hope someone will reply.. thank you very much..
another set of questions... i know NY doesn't require CGFNS exam and TOEFL/IELTS, and thats good but i want to know how long will i take me to be eligible to sit NCLEX? i have read from an old post that it usually takes 6-8 months.. and i want to know 1. if until now it's still the same (still 6-8 months)? 2. and in those months does it include the CGFNS-CVS and NY BON assessment already? thank you for those who will reply..
i hope someone will reply ASAP.. im currently enrolled in Kaplan Manila

If you haven't worked as a RN then you leave blank or put no work experience
Put the entry dates that are correct, your transcripts should show the transfer. It has been a while since I completed the forms but I remember putting all schools down
I am not sure in regards to your license but if it is released next week is it not worth waiting to submit application?

ok thank you.. i was reading some threads earlier and i learned that is more advisable to do paper application than applying online, so now i decided to do paper application.. im confused because i dont know what to write in the "order number".. should i leave it blank? how and when can i have that order number? thank you! :)

Can someone please help me? I have a huge problem. I've been waiting for my CGFNS-CVS NY result for more than 10 months now and this is all I've got.
"CGFNS ID number: *******
SCHOOL Name: Philippines UNIVERSITY OF PERPETUAL HELP - DALTA RIZAL (RN) - Letter ID #*******
Dear Ms. J****** M****,
Thank you for selecting CGFNS International, your trusted choice for all of your credentials evaluation and verification needs.
This letter is to notify you that we have finished the credentialing process for the New York Verification Program. Unfortunately, we are unable to send your verification report to the New York State Education Department due to a conflict between the license information received from the Professional Regulation Commission(PRC) and your application.
Your name appears to be different when referring to the information received from the PRC. I will need a copy of your unofficial license along with the Birth Certificate, Name Change Petition or Marriage Certificate in order to continue with the completion of your file. This will establish the cause of this conflicting information. Once I receive the requested material from you, I will be able to submit your application to the New York State Education Department. Thank you again for your cooperation to this matter."
But I have never used another name. I'm not married either. I'm also sure that I have written my name correctly.
If someone encountered the same kind of problem, can you please reply to me here on how you fixed this, or e-mail me at [email protected]
I will truly appreciate your kindness. Thank you very much.

I guess its the PRC who made a mistake then. You know what one thing I have learned in this experience. DONT ever renew your PRC license nor take the board exam for newly grads if you dont think you wont practice nursing in the philippines at all. NY doesnt require us to be an RN in the Phils. I have a friend she didnt take the NLE at all and applied to CGFNS&NYSED right away. I regret renewing my license cuz PRC processing is such a pain in the ass. They will just waive the PRC thing if someone's license is expred anyway.
So my advice for your case just do whatever the cgfns asked u to. Then they will realize the problem and probably they will contact the PRC by sending a letter again.
Good luck. Everything will turn out fine. Its just a matter of time.
ALL IS WELL!

Thank you fralizma. :) Yes, I think I should just follow what CGFNS told me to do.
