curry college accel BSN program January 2017

Published

Hi all,

Just thought to start this thread. Has anyone applied to Curry for Accel BSN January 2017 yet? I have and I am really looking forward to being accepted. I am currently working as an LPN and I have a bachelors in geological sciences. I definitely want to move up my career path and explore more opportunities. Curry is about 20 minutes away from me and is really convenient and I've heard great reviews about the program.

If you attended or are attending, please give a few pointers or ideas, it will be appreciated and if you are applying or have applied just like me then looking forward to seeing you in January 2017

you mean the admissions team looks at our facebook? hmmm interesting.

I applied to MGH for the January 2017 start, and I figure if I don't get into Curry or MGH for January, I will re-apply to MGH for Summer 2017.

Are you all finished with all your prerequisites or do you have any outstanding?

only a week of waiting left. We are almost there! I check the mailbox daily too - I am waiting from Northeastern as well, but the committee only meets on Tuesdays and my application was not final until this past Wednesday. All my prereqs are done now its just a very long waiting game

Hey,I applied to Curry too. I hope I get in cause it's my first choice. I do have an outstanding course which is stats. I hope you guys get in. The wait it almost over. Good luck!

I have Microbiology to take this fall. Letters will be mailed SO SOON!

I am an international student and I have only applied to Curry. I have previous experiences in medical field but I am not sure whether I would be accepted.

I have also applied to Curry. What are some of you guys undergrad GPA and the grades you got in your prerequisites? I'm super nervous!

My undergrad GPA is 3.46

Most of the pre-requisites have been waived. I am also nervous as I am not sure about the acceptance rate for an international student. Is it the same with local grads?

I'm not sure about your question but I would assume you get the same chance as local students. I don't see why not. Where are you from? And how did you get your prerequisites waived? Were you a bio major or something?

My undergrad GPA was a little low at 2.83, but I recently took the remaining pre-reqs that I needed and have a 4.0 in those. I am hoping between the 1.0, my goal statement, and some rocking recommendations gets me in since my undergrad gpa was lower than they would prefer. A girl can only wish!

You're gonna be fine! Don't worry. Did they require letters of recommendations? Because I didn't have any....

Also, did anyone use portage learning for their pretreuqisites?

My undergrad GPA was 3.46--My degree is in sociology and gerontology. My pre-reqs are a 3.8. As far as I knew Curry didn't require/allow letters of recommendations. They just judge based on undergrad GPA, pre-reqs and your personal statement.

I did hear however that they are taking 60 students this year where as in the past they only admitted 30. So that's definitely in our favor! Letters should be mailed Friday so we're almost there!!
