curry college accel BSN program January 2017

Hi all,

Just thought to start this thread. Has anyone applied to Curry for Accel BSN January 2017 yet? I have and I am really looking forward to being accepted. I am currently working as an LPN and I have a bachelors in geological sciences. I definitely want to move up my career path and explore more opportunities. Curry is about 20 minutes away from me and is really convenient and I've heard great reviews about the program.

If you attended or are attending, please give a few pointers or ideas, it will be appreciated and if you are applying or have applied just like me then looking forward to seeing you in January 2017

Hello Utchy!

Have you heard from the college yet,in regards to your application?

Are you communicating with a particular advisor or you just sent it in to the committee? i sent my application package recently and one(not the committe)

sent me an email saying that he will review my application and write back to me. Am only a little scared about an individual(not the committee) making a decision about my being accepted or no.

Hi BlessedM,

i took my application by hand to the college and handed it to one of he advisors. We looked over it together and he told me to expect a mail from the school in the next weeks confirming that they have received my application and will review it collectively with other applications and send out a reply by July 1st. I don't think one person can seat and decide if you should be accepted or not. I think it is a collective decision made by the committee. Looks like they would start reviewing admissions by next month and send out letters by July 1st...hopefully we'll both receive acceptance letters...keep trusting God...í ½í¸€

Thank you for getting back to me.

hmmm, i now wish i had taken my application to the college physically like you did. Because i'm wondering why this one advisor is seemingly making a decision about my acceptance by himself without involving anyone else. Because the person actually mentioned that i should expect a letter from him early next week and my application arrived today 5/5/16.

when i tried to email back i recieved an auto reply that the person was out of office until next week- meaning there will be no time to review my application at all. This is all confusing and worrying to me.

Would you advise me to try and walk in to follow up?

i am not sure why the person you corresponded with told you that he'll solely be making the decision on your application but i think going to the college won't be a bad idea. Hopefully you'll be able to speak to someone who would put your mind at rest.

Thought i should keep you posted....

I actually contacted them and everything was sorted out. The communication was meant to mean" the pre-review" to confirm all the components of the application package were actually there.

And so is the letter i am to receive.

Like you mentioned,all the other letters are to be sent out after July 1st.

I too applied for Curry's ACCEL BSN starting in January 2017. Only a few more weeks before we'll hear if we got in or not!

Hi!

I applied for the 2017 cohort at Curry College as well. I recently received a letter saying that they received everything they needed and that we would receive their decision by the first week in July. I have applied to MCPHS, Northeastern, and MGH as well. The waiting game is the worst right now! Good Luck everyone!

Yes, the waiting is absolutely the worst part. At least we'll know pretty soon about Curry. I applied to MGH as well. We won't hear from MGH until early September I think. Good luck to you!! Fingers crossed!

hello, everyone I've also applied to curry :). I hope I get in, if not I'll apply to MGH. the waiting for the letter is nerve racking :(. I hope we all get accepted and will soon meet this coming up year.

The waiting is killing me! I check the mailbox every day with such anticipation even though I know the letters aren't even being sent until July 1st. It's awful!

Just FYI- the deadline for the January 2017 start for MGH is July 1st, but they also admit in the summer and I think the deadline for that is early November. Hopefully you'll get into Curry and won't have to worry about applying to MGH! Best of luck!!:)

yes if I don't get in I'll start on my application process for the summer of next year for MGH. The anticipation is stressful and I do the same thing but worse, I check my email and my facebook ha. I was told if some schools have chosen someone for their program they view their facebook. ha but not sure how accurate that is but I do it anyways :). i wish you get accepted also, the joy of for us both begin accepted will be a thrill .
